How Great Thou Art

This post somehow got lost after our trip to Colorado and never actually got published.  So here it is now.

While in Colorado we sang the hymn How Great Thou Art on a few different occasions.  This is near the top of the list on my favorite hymns and was further inspiring with the surroundings we were in.  Here's a taste in pictures of God's greatness in nature  Also a special thanks to other members in my family who took several of these pictures over the years.  My older brother has a keen eye with a camera and is willing to get up before the crack of dawn for sunrise photos.  Sometimes I wish I could capture "pictures" of God's greatness shown to us in less physical ways such as forgiveness from a friend, encouragement from a stranger, answered prayers, etc.

O Lord my God! When I in awesome wonder
Consider all the works Thy hand hath made.

I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder,
Thy power throughout the universe displayed.
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee;

How great Thou art, how great Thou art!

Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee:

How great Thou art, how great Thou art!
When through the woods and forest glades I wander
And hear the birds sing sweetly in the trees;
When I look down from lofty mountain grandeur
And hear the brook and feel the gentle breeze:
And when I think that God, His Son not sparing,
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in;
That on the cross, my burden gladly bearing,
He bled and died to take away my sin:
When Christ shall come with shout of acclamation
And take me home, what joy shall fill my heart!
Then I shall bow in humble adoration,
And there proclaim, my God, how great Thou art!
